Quantum dot coupling streptavidin is obtained by covalent coupling of streptavidin with active quantum dots with functional groups.
Streptavidin has high affinity and specificity with biotin. Using the biotin-affinity system, quantum dot coupled streptavidin can be combined with biotinylated antibodies, nucleic acids, and receptors to couple quantum dots on cells, nucleic acids, and proteins for tracer detection and functional studies, providing a universal marker for quantum dot applications.
Its applications include microscopic imaging, protein blotting, flow cytometry, and dynamic tracing.
